I cannot tell you how many texts, tweets, and Facebook status updates I saw this past weekend that included pictures of peoples countertops cluttered with all the essential items one needs should the power go out. The funny thing was it wasn't milk, toilet paper, bread and water; it was candy, magazines and booze. Even if you don't have a fabulous vintage faux bamboo bar cart or a glam mirrored tray it's amazing how any surface can be instantly transformed into the perfect bar, perfect for riding out a storm.
