Friday Favs
Following up on yesterday's post here are some of my favorite white paint colors by Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. Sometimes it's hard to tell when you look up colors online so I always have clients consult the color wheel for a final reference. Some white's may be too gray, yellow, or taupe for one client but perfect for another. Personally I tend to gravitate towards cooler whites than warm whites, but regardless of hue here are some of my go-to whites. Happy Friday!

Crisp Clean White
The other week I went wedding dress shopping with my best friend. Finding the perfect dress for her perfect day was a piece of cake, the dress ended up being the very first one she tried on. As we brainstormed bridesmaid dress color options I realized my favorite color isn't technically a color, it's white. I flipping love white. Not that I needed to go to a Bridal Salon to be reminded of how much I love white, I mean have you seen my apartment? I don't think I've seen (with a few exceptions) an all white room, outfit, or exterior I didn't fall in love with. We don't find out whether Baby Boland is a boy or a girl for a few more weeks so the nursery decor process is still on hold, but I have a feeling a lot of it will involve, surprise surprise, white.
Here you go Matt, Laura's dress may or may not be on this rack ;-)

Back From Cape May
We're back from a few days at the beach where we spent the majority of our time relaxing and the rest of our time building sand castles, dominating the arcade with our nieces and nephews, and eating smores. Next year we would definitely like to stay for the whole week, the town is beyond charming!

Surprise!!!
So Wednesday was my birthday and not just any birthday, but the big 3-0. I've officially left my 20's but as all the magazines keep telling me 30/40 is the new 20, so I am not too worked up about it. One of the BIGGEST differences the Mr. and I expect this year aside from getting older is a new addition to our family!! We are expecting our first on December 1st and I am on pins and needles waiting to find out whether it is a boy or a girl! I am sooo not the type of lady to wait to find out the gender, or who keeps our baby names and nursery decor secret, so be prepared for some over sharing in the weeks and months to come. So there you have it, now you know the reason my blog posts have been so few and far between. I was prepared for morning sickness (which I luckily did not have aside from a few weeks of nausea) but I was not ready for how tiring pregnancy would be. A mid day nap was unheard of for me pre Baby B and for the past three months if I wasn't working, I was sleeping. I am happy to say I have my energy back in time for summer and although the Mr. and I have no earthly idea what we are doing and what to expect we are beyond excited. Happy Friday!

Cape May NJ
The Mr. and I leave tomorrow for a fun family vacation in Cape May New Jersey. His Aunt and Uncle own a house there and they are kind enough to let 12 of the crazy Boland's stay there for a whole week! We are long overdue for a beach trip, and although we can only get away for a few days I look forward to every minute of it. I've never been to Cape May, but judging by the pictures I have been looking at I think it's my kind of place.

Mom's New Porch Sneak Peak
Here is a little preview of Mom's new porch as well as her inspiration for the new addition. The lantern, the planter's, the porch, the doors, and the Walpole Woodwork lattice screen are all new, the only thing old is the patio furniture. The contractors said we have to wait to paint the new railing until August when the wood cures, but other than that the outside portion of their renovation is complete. Mom and I have always loved Walpole's style so when she told me she ordered one of their lattice pieces I was so excited.
View looking out of the new Oval window in the kitchen onto the back porch.
I will have more official Before and After photo's once everything is painted but here is a shot to give you an idea of the overall feel of the exterior transformation out back.
