More DC Design House Eye Candy
Here’s a sneak peak of other rooms in this year's show house, with Before to After shots (all photography by Robert Radifera). This is just a handful of the great rooms, you will just have to go in person to see the rest! The 2012 DC Design House, is open to the public on Saturday, April 14 and runs through Sunday, May 13th, don't miss out!
As most of you know Kelley Proxmire is one of my all time favorites, so naturally I will start with her room, the grand ballroom.
Here is the old dining room which Dan Proctor of Kirk Designs transformed into an amazing family room.
Please don't write in and comment on how "cute" this bathroom was before, it looks like a Pepto-Bismol bottle exploded... but take a look at how Allie Man of Case Design transformed it for into a nursery bathroom
And onto the Missoni room, a teen lounge by Victoria Sanchez.
Marika Meyer‘s breakfast room, which looks out onto the patio, Before, and After.
Onto the Kitchen by Nadia Subaran of Aidan Design
There are so many other wonderful spaces in the house not pictured here. Some of my favorite rooms I purposely left out, but I might share more pictures on May 14th when the show house is over ;-)

Our Design House Room Reveal!
The process of turning this...
Has been so fun and amazing! Mom and I are beyond excited for the 2012 DC Design House opening day this coming Saturday April 14th. Today is Press Day so we will be at the house with all the other wonderful designers and volunteers who made this project possible. I literally could do 200 blog posts with pictures of each room highlighting all the talented designers and their fabulous work. It has truly been amazing to see each room be completely transformed. If you live in the DC Metropolitan Area you have to make it a priority to go see this house, at least once. Last week the Georgetown Dish posted a few preview pictures, and since they featured a picture of our room, I thought I would share my Before & After pictures with you today!

If you look closely at the ceiling do you notice anything? This is not an optical illusion, our ceiling is literally that uneven! It took a miracle, slash our talented carpenter Nick, to find a solution for flexible crown molding.
PS: I wasn't kidding when I said our space was the smallest in the house ;-)

Design House Preview
Today our photographer came to shoot our hall in the 2012 DC Design House. While he was doing his thing in our tiny space, Mom and I walked around the house to peak at the other designers rooms, and seriously, every single one of them is beyond amazing!! I can't wait to share photos of our space and all the other fabulous rooms in the next few weeks. Until then, here is a sneak peak of our space courtesy of my lovely iPhone...
Now that our space is officially done I can breathe.
Opening day is Saturday April 14th, if you live in the DC Area please come by and see us!
For more information and tickets check out the official DC Design House website.

Design Board Sneak Peak
Here is a snap shot (sorry for the lousy photo) of our Design Board for the DC Design House. The closet came out, the walls are being prepped, the carpeting will be replaced, then it's time to paint, wallpaper and get to the good stuff- the decorating! It doesn't show up well in the picture, but here is a close up of the wallpaper we will be using in the room...
I know what you're thinking, a small space with black wallpaper? Seriously?
But trust us, it's going to be fabulous!

Missing In Action
I wish I could say I haven't blogged in over a week because the Mr. and I were off on some fabulous dream vacation get away, but really it was the exact opposite. Between our current clients, the DC Design House, and two other upcoming projects which I can not wait to share with you, I haven't had time for anything else. If I didn't have my Mama as my partner in crime I don't know what the hell I would do. Finding a partner you can trust 100% and don't have to check in with every hour on the hour is such a blessing. It's also the only reason I didn't freak out last week when the studio looked like this...
jump forward six hours and the place is slowing getting back to normal
There chairs are off to the upholster to be recovered for the design house.
The Shell Console Table arrived! We will be using this fab console in our Design House space.
Happy Monday!
