Get The Look

A lot of my clients rip out a favorite living room or kitchen picture from magazines to show me the look they are going for in their own homes. Whether the budget allows for all new furniture, or a just a few new pieces mixed in with the old, not everyone can successfully pull together a room from a picture without help, so how do you achieve the Veranda Magazine look with an Ikea budget?

Decorative Floors

When decorating a space, the walls ceiling and trim are often our main focus, but sometimes hardwood floors need a little love to.

Mellow Yellow

Since Monday was all about green and Tuesday was pretty in pink, I thought I would just roll with the whole color theme thing... Hello mellow yellow!

Weekend Eye Candy

This weekend's eye candy is brought to you by designer Kelley Proxmire. Last summer at the NY Gift Show I met Ms Proxmire, who is just as lovely in person as she is in books and magazines. Alas, I acted like a six year old boy meeting his favorite baseball player for the first time. I rambled on and on about how much I love her work and basically have images of every room she has ever done saved on my computer... I know, total stalker right!? C'est la vie, her work is fabulous.

Happy Weekend!

Weekend Eye Candy

The grass is starting to get green again and leaves are slowly showing up on the trees, but warm sunny spring weather does not appear to be in the forecast for DC anytime soon. Until then I only have images of beautiful backyard retreats to lift my spirits!
