If I had a dollar for every navy and white stripe shirt I owned, the Mr. and I would probably have a house by now. Growing up going to Catholic school I got lazy comfortable not having to pick out a different outfit for every day of the week. Now my answer for everything is a navy and white, black and white, or gray and white stripe shirt paired with jeans, so you can image how excited I was when my new Gina & May elephant stripes umbrella arrived from One Kings Lane the other week. FYI, if it looks like I am wearing the same outfit day after day, I'm not!! I really do have that many stripe shirts.

Welcome To The Jungle
I know all I seem to be doing lately is posting more client before and after photo's, but I'm too excited not to share them all with you guys. This particular bathroom revamp was so much fun to do! My clients two boys are absolutely in love with animals, so naturally the three of us hit it off. Last summer they went on a Safari in Africa, and the Safari has kind of been the inspiration for our new decor. For the powder room we chose a Thibaut Green Zebra wallpaper (I have only used it one other time in a dining room in a more muted color) and I have to say it might be one of my favorite bathrooms of all time. Maybe it's because I am nuts for any animal print, but between the classic black and white marble basketweave floor we chose, and the crisp green and white zebra wallpaper I think this bathroom is cheerful and timeless. I never want to do a room where 5 years from now people say "oh lord that was so 2013" but I feel like this bathroom could have been finished 5 years ago, or 5 years from now, and I would not have changed a thing.

Mixing vs. Matching
Crazy wallpaper, wild flooring, neon paint, and funky fabrics are normally not elements you think of in one room. While some might think these interiors are way over the top, they are proof you can't have too many colors or patterns in one space. Mom and I have always been a fan of mixing over matching, and although I probably will never have a room in my home this wild I can't help but smile when I see these amazing spaces.

Biscayne
Our newest Thibaut book, the Biscayne Collection arrived this week and it is so flipping cheerful. I know it's winter and the holidays are right around the corner so I should probably be talking about decorating the table for Thanksgiving or a fun DIY Christmas tree skirt, but oh well.
ps that pink and orange cheetah print tray needs to be made into fabric and or wallpaper

Haunted schmaunted... I'd live in any of these pads in a heart beat! Who else but Disney could make a haunted house so appealing??

Dressing Room Decor
While we were in Chicago over the weekend my brother's fiance and I popped into Forever 21 to check out some costume jewelry. Three dollars for a cute pair of earrings is exciting, but what really blew me away was the dressing room! Seriously how cute are these doors!?!

Friday Favs
Mom and I saw the new Worlds Away outdoor furniture products at Market and fell in love.
I can't think of a cuter planter for topiaries or a more cheerful outdoor cocktail table to put your feet up on. I'd be dangerous if I had a yard and a patio!

Craigslist Transformation
Remember my blog post here featuring that fabulous wicker fan chaise I found on Craigslist? I decided not to paint the chair (which doesn't mean that someday it wont get painted, but the natural look grew on me) and I replaced the old Pier1 cushion with a new cushion covered in Lee Jofa Lilly Pulitzer fabric. I had a few matching Lilly pillows made to go with it and voila- The finished product!
