Oh Christmas Tree
Neither Mom nor I have our Christmas tree up yet but at least I have some boxwood wreaths hanging in the windows, and Mom has her outdoor lights up... Is Christmas really next Tuesday??

Christmas At The Studio
Despite the fact that it is unseasonably warm and it does not feel like Christmas, at the Studio it's at least starting to look like Christmas. Now I can't wait to decorate the apartment, but judging by the way Hank reacted to the boxwood wreaths I don't know if we are going to do a tree this year. I have a feeling if we do, all the branches from the waist down will be gone by the third week of Advent. I'll see how long Mr. Lion's boxwood wreath scarf lasts when Hank and I go to work Friday and then decide.

Friday Favs
Notice the trend in all these lovely photo's? The Oly Studio Pipa cocktail table, one of my favorite coffee tables of all time, has just become my favorite Christmas present of all time. Due to the fact that my gift would not have fit under the tree, my darling Mother gave me my Christmas present early this year. What is even more fabulous about this statement piece is that it retails for $1,980 and my Mom found it at HomeGoods! You heard me, HomeGoods baby! I wont bore you with pictures of my entire living room because the only new change is the table, but seriously, hands down Best Christmas Present Ev-er ;-)

Christmas At The Apartment
One of my favorite Christmas traditions of all time is going to 4 o'clock mass on Christmas Eve. Every year I listen to Christmas music non stop throughout the month of December, I watch cheesy holiday movies and attend fabulous holiday cocktail parties, but nothing gets me more pumped for Christmas than Christmas Eve Mass. The music gives me goose bumps and the fresh trees with plain white lights on either side of the alter are always breathtaking. It is the most beautiful Christmas display I could ever imagine, so this year I've decided to go with the whole less is more theme approach for our Christmas decor.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...
but there is still a lot to do before December 25th! Here is a sneak peak into Mom's Holiday decorations, even without a tree up it is uber festive. I love how she switches up her holiday decor each year. This years new addition to the mantle- Nutcracker Topiaries!
Although my Christmas decorations will not be nearly as fabulous as my darling Mother, tomorrow I will share pics of the apartment decked out in all its holiday glory!

Oh Christmas Tree
Last night was the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center and tonight will be the lighting of the National Christmas Tree here in Washington. I generally don't start decorating for Christmas until mid December, but this year I am so excited to celebrate my first Christmas with the Mr. I thought I would start decorating a little earlier than usual!

Weekend Eye Candy
I'm a one holiday at a time type of gal so I get annoyed when shops put up Christmas decorations the week before Thanksgiving. By the time the Mr. and I have kids the stores will be putting up their Christmas trees at Halloween! However, now that Thanksgiving is over, I plan to transform our apartment into an uber stylish version of the North Pole, play Christmas music 24 hours a day, and break out my rudolf reindeer car costume. Let the most wonderful time of the year begin!
